Secure, Warm, Weatherproof — built for passive houses
Highly energy-efficient (Class A) armoured front door built on a wood and metal construction with moisture-resistant UMIDAX or Okoume timber boards. Engineered for environments with significant temperature differences — private homes, cottages and passive houses — with a thermal conductivity of U 0.78 W/(m²·K) that prevents the condensation problems common to other exterior doors.
Made of closed L-shaped steel profiles 2 mm thick and 100 mm wide, bonded to a wooden construction. The L-profile allows door sealing with a triple gasket between the jamb and the leaf.
Built from 2 mm thick closed steel profiles connected to the wooden construction (leaf thickness 85 mm). The exterior face is clad with a 1.5 mm steel sheet.
Stage 1: two-component foam expands between the closed steel profiles. Stage 2: three layers of 2 cm thermal rock-wool are applied to maintain excellent soundproofing and thermal properties.
Triple-glazed unit of 4 or 6 mm glass, 54 mm total thickness. Supplied as standard with a clear or 40% brown tinted package. Decorative glass shapes and patterns are available from our carving catalogue.
3 Italian hinges, 20 mm diameter, with journal-bearings prevent settlement and ensure effortless operation. 2 hinge guard stoppers block forced entry if the hinges are removed.
Moisture-resistant wood-fibre board fitted on all our standard exterior doors. Primed and painted in any RAL colour, with a wide variety of finishes to suit demanding requirements.
One of the highest-quality boards on the market, made from African Okoume peel (also used in shipbuilding) with mahogany intermediate layers. Finished with a four-colour polish so the armoured door looks like solid wood.
Supplied to the client's specification from premium manufacturers — MOTTURA, DORMA, EVVA and similar. To preserve maximum thermal performance we advise avoiding safe locks, as cold can bridge through the lock body.
